Ohio fish rescue have a few pig nose turtles, a snapping turtle they recently rescued.. and I think a box turtle? I just saw they have a new video up with a NEW turtle rescue!! owo I can't wait to watch it! >w<


Pleco's are nocternal for the most part so that'd be hard.

That and algae wafers break apart so its hard to tell if they nibble at it or not, and leaving stuff in the tank can cause ammonia spikes which can harm the fishies

Snapping turtles sound deadly lol. Wouldn’t want one chomping on you lol.

Oh. Well that sucks. Still, wouldn’t hurt to observe them anyway lol.

When they lift the snapper, its mouth goes open wide and stays that way. Like "just watch human, I will get you!!! AHHHHH" x'D



I'm worried that maybe the wafer was too big.. but I can't find anything on feeding juvenile plecos >A< uuugh..

They're like an inch long >w< one is actually a tad bit smaller

I dunno lol. I think we had a pleco or two when we had an aquarium. But we never really fed them since we had other fish. They mainly ate what was left and what algae there was in the tank. I think they were mainly bought for clean up duty lol.

It's really fun watching them pick that thing up.. o3o its wide mouth amuses me.. I dunno why xD



I been researching and while yes, they do clean up after other fish, they still need their own food as well.

So far all I've seen for pleco food are:

Driftwood (every day)
Algae (every day)
Algae Wafers (1-2 times a day)
Veggies/Fruits (1-2 times a week)
Bloodworms/Earthworms (1-2 times a week)

o3o I got my plecos a Zucchini and some green beans .. but I don't have the worms for the protein >:x baaah... I have bug bites and shrimp pellets till I can get them some wormies next month. Apparently you can supplement with those.

Yeah I don’t think we ever got food for them but I could be wrong. Either way, I wasn’t in charge of the fish tank anyway lol.

Most of the food I have I got originally for the shrimp as they eat pretty much the same as the plecos. I also got free food from someone off Fishlore a while back, so other than bloodworms, I'm fully stocked for a while. ovo



THEY ARE SO CUTE!!

I took a piece of cholla wood that I had in the 40g, I was using it to hold plants in place because these fkers won't stay PUT! D:< well plants are finally behaving so .. I took the cholla wood out and put it in their little box.. they're all over it! "<(>w<)>"

Of course, that one STILL hides from me! >:x went to the other side of the wood. brat... I wanted pix!!

oooooooooh that's nice, free food! even though humans can't eat them lol.

Woke up to the one up on top of the little tunnel I got them. .. I go to get the macro camera lens for my phone and it gets off the top of the tunnel and goes inside

the other is.. of course.. hiding behind the filter. =w=
