HOO THE DRIVE TO AND FROM WORK SUCKED
Context: high wind warnings (gusts hitting 60mph) plus snowfall
To work: used snow thrower to clear out driveway. Wind kicks up right as I finish, undoing all the work I had done and then some. Ended up calling dad to have him punch through with his car (I think it's an SUV?) and get the car out cuz the turnaround is so thoroughly packed I wasn't even gonna try to get it cleared and I'm terrible at backing up. Had to use alternate route because normal one closed off cuz tree on power lines and frying everything, which meant being stuck behind school buses and getting every single red light. Oh and there's train tracks, so they gotta stop at those too
Home: wind picked up. And the snow is snowing. And it's nighttime! In town: slid a bit, but roads were...okay, I guess. Main road out of town: no one going above 35-40 but doable. Last road to home, a back road: okay yeah I'm in the other lane but I'm in whiteout conditions so I can't see. Driveway completely covered up. Got car in. Got cat in far enough that it's fully in the driveway. 100% stuck but it's off the road. Normally a 15-20 minute trip took half an hour
