Wait, coupons? Oh, for levelling knuffels? For the daycare?
I also keep forgetting that people in other countries have to pay a fortune to be able to study (shame on me).
I am also so glad Germany is pretty cheap here although I will be in debt after I finish my studies as well. But that's fine, that's the only time in my life I know I am doing what I want and I learning for the sake of learning. If I am lucky enough my later job will have sth to do with what I studied.
Jacob, I am sorry to hear you have to struggle with the debts and money in general, but I am sure you two can handle it <3

Yeah, I'm in computer science :)
Gosh, you guys are chatty, I can feel the caravan :D I probably forgot half of what I thought to write while reading the posts already :D
For me it was always pretty clear that I would do my master's as well, since the university basically says "yeah, this bachelor thingy, we have that, but it really shouldn't be a degree already, you only know enough after the master" and continuing in the consecutive master's program is really easy, not really different from what you have to do every semester in the bachelor's as well, just enroll and pick courses and stuff. No formal having to be accepted into the master's program or anything. It's pretty cool, from what I've heard getting a place in a master's program can be a lot more complicated in other places. Here it just gets complicated if you want to do a special program, like robotics or bioinformatics or something like that.

Lol, I'm the same, I don't even bother reading back anymore, because once I finish, more posts were added
You're on consecutive studies? Here not all studies can be consecutive. Mostly I think psychology is consecutive (my bff is finishing that on a private uni), or law I believe. Not really sure what else, lol. But for example on my indology studies, we finish the Bachelor's degree and we have to enroll to Master's programme separately, if we want to continue. There is no consecutive programme for us.
But hey, I managed to call the dean's office and found out my diploma is ready

But right now it's too late to go there, so I'll go on Tuesday.

Yeah, that happens :D
Also while writing a post that happens to me a lot...
Well, there's a Master in Computer Science program and you can just do that without formalities. I think they call that the consecutive master. Not sure what is implied by that word, I just know it from that :D
If you want to do some other master's prgram, then you have to apply for it with more formalities.
But we still officially finish the bachelor's and get a diploma for that and everything as well. I handed in the slip to get that a few days ago.
Yay for being able to go pick it up soon mem! Then you'll be really finished with it for good, I guess :)

Lol, yea, especially during the caravan xD
I think the word implies that you don't have to formally apply to try getting your master's degree after you've gotten your bachelor's? Not sure? Maybe? XD
Handed the slip???
Yeah, maybe I'll finally believe it when I get the paper in my hand XD

Okay, yeah, I guess that's pretty much what it is for us then :)
Äh, we have to hand in a form that basically says "yeah, I want my bachelor's diploma now with <list of courses we took>." Because you can take some master's courses already during your bachelors and either have them used for your bachelor or save them and use them in the master.

Oh, that's pretty interesting, I don't think I've heard of anything like this here in Poland

Or maybe I'm just clueless when it comes to consecutive studies

I'd have to ask my bff, maybe she'd know something (I don't feel like digging up info with good ol' uncle Google, lol). So if you don't apply for it before you get your Master's, then you get both titles after you've finished the studies?

What kind of courses did you finish, River? *curious*
Uni is hell, at least was for me, like every other school XD
