Sorry for the radio silence, guys! I've been traveling again.
Just made it back to Virginia!
How is everyone doing today?
For the past 9 months I have frequent shooting pains in a few of my teeth on both sides if I eat anything sweet, or cold, or if it touches my tooth in just the right spot. The teeth change frequently, and it's not consistent, but it happens at least once every few days, or as frequently as every time I eat. The dentist has no idea what it is. ; A;
I hate dentists. Every time I go there is another cavity for them to fill. I know I eat a lot of sweets, but I brush my teeth well. ; 3; Why cavities, why?
And novacaine doesn't work on me, neither does numbing jelly. So whenever they drill, even if it's close enough to hit my nerve, I just have to grip the arms of the chair and force my mouth to stay open 'til they're done. My dentist is really sweet, and stops every few minutes to see if I'm okay and ask if there's anything he can do, but I wish he'd just get it over with. = .= The pain won't stop 'til your down. I can take it!
But I also have a crazy high pain tolerance. Getting my teeth drilled without any numbing agents deep enough to be super close to the nerve is, like, a 2 on my pain scale. Forcing my crippled ass to hike on rough forest terrain for 3+ hours a day without any functionality in my knees at a speed that outpaced all of my able-bodied peers was maybe a 3 on my really bad days? My appendix bursting while I waiting in agony in the ER for 10 hours for my surgery, while my back muscles literally tore themselves apart (to which they are still not healed a year and a half later) was a 7. ^^; I am a tough cookie.
