I had my boyfriend, my friend and I all trying to figure out the quiz parts. I eventually had to go look around in the forums for some help on one. The other I just kinda guessed at. XD
Thanks. xP I don't guess anyone else knows/wants to guess so I'll just say: It's Loki from the Avengers. xD I mostly did it so I could show my friend and see if it was recognizable. XD She said it was but I'm a bit iffy on it. Oh well. I still think I did pretty good considering I didn't have a pre-made template for it. 8) (Even with the few mess ups I had x.x Freakin most difficult pumpkin I've done yet)

ahhh D:
Honestly I kind of thought of him when I saw it, but I've not seen the movie or anything so I wasn't sure. XD (just what I've seen on tumblr). I think you did really well! I've never carved a pumpkin before. ^^;

Thanks! ^w^ I love carving pumpkins. XD I wish I could do how some people carve and not cut out whole pieces, but just thin out the inside so the light shines through and scrape off the outside in the shape of whatever/whoever it is. *w*
WAHHH?!? GO CARVE A PUMPKIN RAINE. D8 IT'S SO FUN! XD You're like the third person who has said that. My friend from Florida had never carved one either and she came to visit one time around Halloween so I made her carve a pumpkin. XD And my sister's friend that's living with us now (yes we have a new mooch...we kinda don't mind her staying so much cos her grandma and mother are unemployed living in a crappy house and she's going to school and working 2-3 jobs so at least she's doing more than the other bratty girl) says she's never carved a pumpkin either. We were gonna buy her one but we're...rather low on money lately. =_= So low mom's using the credit card to buy groceries while dad wastes his on beer.

Ahh I'd love to try carving a pumpkin. Unfortunately I'm always broke around this time. XD And even if I had money to get a pumpkin I'd be pretty nervous. I tell people around here I've never carved one and they start talking about how 'amazing' I'd be at it. It's a lot of pressure, lol. ^^; I've never carved anything before, really. So no matter how well I draw I don't think it would help me. @A@

Well, it's one thing to draw and another to carve. You have to have one solid piece that's connected to the pumpkin so xD it's not as easy as it sounds. Mom had gotten me started on them one year when she bought one of these pumpkin carving sets cos we used to just do the traditional triangle eyes, jagged mouth jack-o-lanterns. She thought that would be fun for us and there's some beginner patterns and things in there. They're a lot easier than what I do now. xD I've figured out over the years how to transfer/make my own patterns by cutting the highlights out of people or characters I want to carve. -Nodnod- It's a little more complicated to do my own because I do them on a flat surface and the pumpkin is rounded so I have to be super careful when carving. The pre-made patterns are already sort of set to be done with a round pumpkin. ^-^
I was going to do another pumpkin with my boyfriend next week but...he's in the doghouse now. ):< -Grumble- Don't know if I'll feel like it/he'll have money for it.
(Homygod they have a pumpkin surface carving kit! -WANT-) I also was thinking about commissioning someone one year who does like pretty tattoo designs that I think are mostly connected that wouldn't be such a pain to carve. I dunno though. XD

I've never carved pumpkins before either. It looks difficult.
Out here nobody really does that. Though in my town there's a yearly children's parade that used to have children carve faces in beetroots light them with candles and walk around the town all dressed up in different characters. It's around the beginning of September.
It's a lot of fun, but lately there's fewer and fewer people that remember the beetroots... I think 'my generation' (gods I feel old saying that) is one of the last that had a parade where everyone had a beetroot.
It was always great when it got dark and all you could see was the beetroot's faces and the light reflected off the costumes...
Do you all celebrate halloween big or is that just a foreigner's misconception?

That sounds interesting, Vineda. xD We don't have any parades or anything here and our family barely does anything for Halloween since all of us kids have grown up now. When my grandfather was still alive, we'd all gather at my grandparents' house and eat a meal and then we'd go around their neighborhood and Trick or Treat (not sure if your area does that) but we dress up in costumes and go to houses for free candy. :3 After we got tired, we'd go back to my grandparents house and eat a bit of candy and watch some Halloween movies together. But now, the most I do is carve a pumpkin and we'll buy a bag of candy and watch some movies at home. xD I'm sure if I weren't so antisocial and had some friends I'd go to parties but that's not the case.
We have a lot of horror attractions to go to as well. Also don't know if you do this around there but there's 'haunted trails' and 'haunted houses' that people set up and people dress up as bloody, dead, scary things to scare everyone half to death. I don't go to these because I don't like getting scared. XD Especially the ones that end up going through forests or something. In all the chaos and screaming, I don't want an actual psycho showing up and murdering me. @-@ And in one of the houses one year mom's friend said someone slid down the chute to the exit and the landing mattress slid out from under them and they broke a wrist or ankle or something. o.o

The majority doesn't do trick or treating for halloween either, though as US movies are getting more and more influential there's some families that have started to do that.
The family gathering sounds like fun though. As long as it's a rather small group... (our Family is a bit too large... Both my parents are from extensive families so it gets to be too busy and stressful to gather everyone)
The attractions sound scary, but maybe fun if there's someone with you... I probably wouldn't be able to enjoy them all that much though... I'm no good with scary stuff and one of the scariest things for me is being somewhere unfamiliar, alone in the dark when there's a possibility that my occasional night-blindness can act up again... It's very scary to me to suddenly not be able to see anything any more when I love looking at the night sky...
Off to bed now as it's about 2 am and I have class in the morning...
G'night!!!!

Yea, it was just my dad's side of the family which isn't very big. Just my fam (mom, dad, sister and I) and my Uncle's (him, his wife and the 3 cousins) plus grandma and grandpa so it was never too crazy.
I know. @-@ I don't like scary stuff like that. We just watched a tv special about places like that and how they go through all these preparations to try and make it the scariest thing possible. @-@ I was scared just watching some of that stuff. XD A lot of them had animatronic things and I absolutely hate mechanical, flailing, scary things. I just don't enjoy being scared like that. xD It makes me paranoid when I'm alone in the dark.
Ok, goodnight Vineda!
