Niagra Falls isn't far from you, Death. ^^ The Canada side is suppose to be lovely. It's only 14 hours, so if you had a driving buddy you could easily do it in a three day trip - drive up day one, spend the second day in Ontario, then drive back on day 3. That shouldn't be that expensive - pack the car up with lots of snacks and sandwiches, so you only have to pay for gas and two nights stay at a hostel/Airbnb/hotel nearby. Bonus points if you can stay with a friend!
Plus, road trips are so much fun with kids!

I cannot WAIT to go! Everyone I know who has gone, or who lives there, loves it.
I am hoping to spend a year there studying Japanese and exploring every inch of the area. Plus, of course, soaking in as much history and tradition as I can! <3 And food. I am going to eat SO MUCH FOOD.
