Where in Japan did you visit, Lady?
And was it for business, school, or travel? <3 /Story time

I've never been outside the USA before.

You should try it at some point, Death! :D
Travel isn't for everyone, but I personally love it! I love meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, living new ways of life, trying new cuisine, seeing new sights. <3 I want to experience everything that this world has to offer before I kick that ol' bucket.

It was for travel in 2005, my sister was over there teaching at a international preschool type thing. So we visited her for two weeks.

It was also the year the world expo was on so I got to see that a bit and ride the linimo.

Went to Hiroshima, Osaka, a tiny bit of Kyoto. I think a tiny bit of Tokyo. Disneyland/sea. Some of the castles.

I don't remember it that well because I was 14..but I do miss it. And the food. I like sushi now.. haha.

I still have my kimono dressing gown <3 (silk dressing gown in shape of kimono basically, probably like a yukata).

I've only been there and to Singapore airport (part of the Japan trip).

Problem is I got my period the day after we got back. Which explained my moodiness and ear aches (on the plane though I do get ear aches from planes normally but this was really bad).

I'd need money first. And I never have any for traveling outside Omaha.

Niagra Falls isn't far from you, Death. ^^ The Canada side is suppose to be lovely. It's only 14 hours, so if you had a driving buddy you could easily do it in a three day trip - drive up day one, spend the second day in Ontario, then drive back on day 3. That shouldn't be that expensive - pack the car up with lots of snacks and sandwiches, so you only have to pay for gas and two nights stay at a hostel/Airbnb/hotel nearby. Bonus points if you can stay with a friend!
Plus, road trips are so much fun with kids!

Ooh, that sounds like it was a blast, Kuuki! <3
I cannot WAIT to go! Everyone I know who has gone, or who lives there, loves it.
I am hoping to spend a year there studying Japanese and exploring every inch of the area. Plus, of course, soaking in as much history and tradition as I can! <3 And food. I am going to eat SO MUCH FOOD.

Still no money for any of that. I only get about 600 dollars a month and I have bills to pay and food to buy and clothes and such. And I have no one to drive me up there.

Fair enough.
By the way, Death, what do you do for money, if you don't mind my asking? Judging by your comments about your daughter's father, it sounds like you're a single mother, but if you are considering homeschooling I'm assuming you are a stay at home mom? What do you do for money?

I'm a care provider for my mom. The city or state pays me. Right now she's asleep, she had a rough night and was up all night with back pain. My mom's disabled.
