Me: You didn't put my books up in the loft, though, right?
Mum: Yeah some of them.
Me: Not my SIGNED COPIES, though, right????
Mum: *suspiciously long pause* no, those are still on the bookshelf.
God knows what they put up there lol. I have the feeling someone had to go back up there in a hurry after that phone call

Oh yeah the long pause and shifty eyes when you mention something and you KNOW they're thinking along the lines of 'oops...'
and then the reassurance before they have to check cause 'they're not really sure -but maybe -yeah kind of- yes they did do that so sorry'
I prefer them storing it somewhere that I can find it after a bit of searching rather than throw something out that they think I won't need anymore though. Way less fun to discover afterwards :/

Ohhhh yes. I think I finally got my mum to the point where she thinks twice about throwing things out. Used to be, she would just do it, and then I would throw an almighty rage lol. Now she's like "it's in a box, you sort it out".

My mom still has her moments, but she knows there are some kind of things she really shouldn't put her hands on c':
usually I can't really make such a fuss, I just end up sighing haha

My own mum is careful enough not to throw things out.
The only problem is that I can't bring back anything easily because I'm in another country.
When we were children she made albums for us with memories and cards we got. A lot better than the board.

I get really mad because it's not like I touch her stuff... and we're both adults. And also, she knows I would bring everything with me if I didn't live in a tiny apartment. Well, not tiny-tiny, but we already filled up our bookshelves and wardrobes and such. (yes, we have multiple of both haha)

My mom and I have very different tastes about some things, she can get pushy about things just because she personally thinks its not worth much or can be thrown out.
We're holding a big yard sale this month cause we're moving late this year. I think I've got 1/3rd of my entire wardrobe bagged up to sell along with toys etc c':
And still my mom butts in at times with things she thinks I won't wear anymore and she's suggesting I sell when really that's just her not liking the style of clothing I like >>
No mom, I'll be going through my own possessions by myself thank you very much X.x

I have this taste problem with my mother as well but she's a hoarder so if she can help it she won't throw away anything.

Mine's the same, she'll be like "let's throw away this horrible old scrap of paper" and I'm like yes, why don't we throw away the certificate that marks one of my greatest achievements to do, let's do that
