You barely feel them most of the time and somehow you do get used to it and start differentiating between "yeah it's small no problem" and "oh shit, that one's scary someone help me" ones.
But yeah if I could never feel one again I'd be happy. Because the worst isn't the earthquake itself, at least not in Japan, the buildings are made for it, the worst is thinking about the consequences (like another tsunami, fires, the food/water supply).
I have seen a volcano erupting too

Kuuki is collecting natural disasters like they’re pokemon!
That recent earthquake that cane from the seabed was no joke. Most of the United States west coast was put on tsunami warning. I heard Japan had tsunami warnings in effect too.

It was serious. We had tsunami warnings for nearly a full day and, obviously, several waves did come but as far as I know the only casualties were people who collapsed from heatstroke/heat exhaustion during evacuation.

Kuuki lives in Japan. Land of natural disasters if there is one. And she only experienced small-ish ones.
When I think about it, it's scary how Humans can adapt because I never thought I'd be so calm experiencing earthquakes and typhoons on the regular.
Oh, and did I mention that my workplace caught on fire one time? XD

back when I lived in Massachusetts the most we would get is a bad winter storm or a weak hurricane that managed to make it up the coast. I thought the fact that I now get tornados is wild but I guess not.

Yeeeahh My city doesn’t get these wild weather phenoms. Maybe some flooding or a winter storm but that’s it.
