I'm still going to go with no dad. Since we've never seen him, and it seems like we never will. I'm still going with maybe he a trainer.. Or a scientist guy. :D

That's my thinking. But one never really knows. He could have just been some really smart guy and in a lab all the time. That would be why we never see him. xD
