Hm... drawing, I think you should trying finding a picture for reference and try to draw the magpie~ After you are familiar with the body structure of birds, I'm sure you can draw one easily!

You know what oil looks like right? It's got all colors, depending on how you view it. Same with magpie feathers. They've got the same oily glow. Very rarely can you even spy a little lavender glow. ;D
But I'd just keep it both blue and green if I were you, flowing over in eachother :)
