That would be nice, so maybe, someday. Since writing is pretty much the only thing I'm actually good at, it would be a shame if nothing would ever come out of it. But yeah, only time will tell and so maybe it'll remain as a hobby only.

What format do you enjoy writing in most? Short stories, novels, epics, flash fiction?

I think I prefer novels (although that doesn't mean I don't or won't do anything else), both to read and write. My longest (fanfic) story online right now is still ongoing and has about 200k words. It's also my first story online, so it's kind of my "special firstborn child", lol.

Ha ha ha, nice. I bet it has evolved a lot over time as your style has changed!

Do you plot stuff out first or are you a discovery-writer? Or does it depend on what you're doing?

You bet it has. I'm kind of mad at myself for not having kept the first chapter, as it is/was, when I first started it. Since I go back and fix things all the time (as I'm doing now, or should be doing /shot. Too lazy right now). My English keeps improving, even if I still feel like throwing rage fits at times because of the whole grammar thing. But it's getting easier. I also put more effort toward things like quality the more I grow as a writer in general.

...I also have a massive growing list of pet peeves as a result of all this reading and writing during the last years. I actually even started making that list on my blog, since it helps to get it all out, lol.

I do both. There are some stories where I sit down to plan and write first how the plot and characters etc should be. But some just happen, like this one, which I even started writing, and then sharing, by accident. Haha.

We just had a raccoon wander into the house and ask us to put more dry food out on the deck for it. o_o

Kept the 1st chapter, as for comparison purposes? To see how far you've come? Or so that you had a better clue into the mindset you were in when you first started, to try and recall the original direction the story was intended to take?

@saokymo
XD Ask or "ask"?

@akili
Yes, to the first two. I already know the mindset I was in when I started it. Since it was also how the story was born in the first place. As for where the story was going to go originally, I have no clue. I simply have no memory of it... XD Not even a hint of... something. It's like it doesn't even exist. So weird...

Gosh I completely missed Saokymo's post! Sorry!

Wow, though. It actually came INTO the house? That's... well, that's something!

It grunted at us and walked back outside, so I guess it's a mix of both - asking without speaking English. XD We had the back door open for cool air, which is how it came inside.

It's fascinating how stories evolve a life of their own over time, with our without their author's input.
