Yeah, I realized you'd told me in the message after I said that. Migraines are cruel. Oh well, I comfort myself with the thought that my senseless blathering might at least amuse somebody.

@Spirit
Yeah, luckily he had plenty of time to reply to me since I work most of the day. XD I feel bad that GameStop is the only place for him to go though. :mcheh:

Lol, no worries :) I figured it was either a migraine or Aunt Flo that was doing it, I didn't mind :)

@ ML, Yeah it's the same for me though, nothing but Gamestop near me. The only Non gamestop store within 3 hours of me is Gamers and they are WORSE then Gamestop imo.

I like the local store here, one day I went in with my friend and this one guy working had just finished fixing up an old system someone came in with. The person that brought it in had found it in the trash on the side of the road and brought it in to sell. He got I think $120 for it because it was a really old but awesome gaming console that I think came out around the time of Kleekovision or whatever, and once they got it fixed up they were able to price it for I think $280 since the cheapest on the net was something like $400. XD He turned it on and showed us and even let my friend play it. XD

Yeah Gamers will take older systems like that, but they are REALLY not that nice with their employees, and they LOVE to sell things they had on hold for you behind your back. A few years back I went to buy a GCN from them(when they first came out and I had saved up for one for months) They decided as I was walking into the store that was holding it for me that they were going to attempt to sell it to two boys that had been in the store, My mom about lost it with them, and they were forced because their manager knew we'd tell the other store, to sell it to us because we'd had a hold on it, and they knew they'd never get that rep back if they sold it underneath us(luckily the two boys who nearly bought it when they saw me(I wasn't very tall and was younger then them) didn't mind because they didn't feel it was right to take it from a younger girl)

lol, and its awesome when you can use your appearance to your advantage like that. XD But yeah, I wouldn't go back to them in, if I were in that position the only time I would sell an item on hold is if the held items were the only ones left and someone was looking for them. Not me trying to get them to buy the item. :/ Of course I would warn the person who wants it held that if its the only thing left and someone comes in looking I would have to sell it to them since they would have the money on hand. This is a way of being fair and still stay in business in my opinion and if you warn them ahead of time they cannot get mad at you if a situation like that comes up.

Except in our case we'd been at another location, and we were driving with money on hand to the other store and they knew it was a 20 minute drive between locations, thus they had no reason to be pulling that stunt and they swore they would hold it for at least an hour. But yeah it was also their last one but again, big difference between a customer having it on hold for several days and a customer that had it on hold at max 20 minutes and was on route from another store location that had asked you hold it for them(they never once told the other store that they would sell it if anyone else came in)

(sorry if I seem a bit defensive on it but at the time this was happening the store tried to act like we had no reason to be irked when they knew we'd been coming from 144th street to 72nd street(this was a large city we were in) and that this was not only our First(and only) time we went to this particular location, but that they were in an area that is extremely difficult to get in as is.So for me, any sort of thing that even remotely defends their actions tends to set me off, I know you aren't ML, I just really still get upset about that incident, to the point i nearly broke down when I went to a different location about 3 years ago when I went looking for a birthday present for a friend and had to unfortunatly go to one of their stores, and they tried to force me to go back to that same location for it(ended up getting the friend something else instead) so yeah, major set off for me, sorry)

That's okay, I'm not offended, but that was stupid on their part. They knew you guys were coming and they lied about how long they would hold it which is stupid on their part. I'm surprised that place is still in business to be honest. After that incident I would never go to that store again.

Yeah, and the only decent gamers store went to later become just as bad when they got rid of all the good employees and got nasty ones that were mean and lazy. We had an incident occur the last time we bought anything at any of them that still leaves me shaking my head, and it's not like my mom or I did anything wrong even. We went in to buy 2-3 games, and the guy at the register was NOT paying attention to what he was doing and rang up one of the games cheaper then it was supposed to go for, we asked him to double check the total when he did that because the total was far too low compared to what we knew it should have been, he refused to look over his own work and said "yeah it's correct, you paying or what" we paid but we refused to go there again after that, neither of us wanted accused by some irate manager later of pulling crap when it was the employee that had done it. Never heard anything from a manager later about it though, and I suspect it either didn't ever get caught or the employee ate the difference. What ended up happening was the guy charged us for one of the cheaper games twice and didn't ring up the most expensive of the games at all.

*facepalm*
This is why I wouldn't have someone like that working the register, yet they have someone doing that at the place I used to work at. Speaking of which, that manager that started working there not long before I left? He quit not long after I quit. XD So that's three managers the place has gone through in the span of a year. In the 10 years the place has been open they've now had 15 managers.
