I like baking and cooking, I can do both, and I made mistakes considering both.
But yea, I adore both things. If it wasn't for the mess I make and the time which is needed to do it ._.

I prefer to eat the foods.

I like to eat that stuff as well. But baking is hard because I usually make a cake or cupcakes, so that one has a lot of things to eat. Luckily I have many friends who help eating. I would be fat otherwise.

Really? I admire you for that xD I can make a mess doing both xD But I like to clean everything while or/and after cooking.

I clean during cooking/baking. I cooked spaghetti today, on bf's request. There was absolutely no mess, until I asked him to stir the sause once - already one shroom outta the pan. I got it covered, okay. Then I asked him to add spices as he likes - sweet pepper all over the place, and he didn't even notice he was making the mess until I pointed out the culprit - the incompletely torn off top of the spice bag.
I've heard that one can recognize a good cook after the mess in the kitchen - the more mess the better XD

Do you really think so? I think the tidier the kitchen, the better the cook :D :D
