Thank you for answering my concern on the withering thing. It wasn't really withering at all. I did see the happy face pumpkin. I got 2 backgrounds. So now I have switched up the water cycle a bit and can't wait to see what I will get next.I also got the
fire floating pumpkin from a different combo. This is kinda fun!

Um, not trying to sound rude or impatient or anything, but at the bottom of the first post it mentions that the next part of the event, Part Two, was supposed to come out a week after this first one, but it's already the 15th here where I am, and yet no new part of the event..? ^^;

.. . JenessaElfGirl, the first part started on Sunday and the annoucement says "next week" which probably means from Monday to Sunday. This means there are minimum two days more. I understand your unpatience, you can't imagine how excited I am! But it has never happened on this forum that the promissed event did not appear. So there's no reason to worry. ;)

I seem to have extra fertilizer. I'm not certain. I haven't bought any fertilizer (as far as I remember) since the event started, and I always fertilize three times every day since the event started, bringing the fertilizer count to 0. I haven't missed a day, and today, I started out with six bags of fertilizer, leaving me currently with three extra bags of fertilizer. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not. Either way, with my current strategy, I won't need these extra three bags of fertilizer, so if you'd like, you can get rid of them. If you don't, I probably just won't use them.

It's not part of the daily freebies, is it, Zia? You get three cans of water and three fertilizers a day.

When you are able to harvest items from your pumpkins depends on when you planted a seed, so it is an individual timing and has nothing to do with when other users harvest their items.
