I don't know why the courses are cancelled, maybe they are just postponed, but so far it was not possible to register for them... But modern Greek seems to take place xD

Haha, I talked to a friends yesterday and she said the next book she is going to read is 'The Hobbit' xD Funny coincidence!

I also finished my book, I am going to read 'Es' (it) by S. King next. It's a thick one so let's hope this is one of his better ones.

either the book was short or you're a fast reader.
or both

so you can take the course but not register for it..?

I haven't read anything by king except his memoir

It had 520 pages :D But the book was a light read and interesting and in German, so I was quick :)

Ah I should have explained that. We have some language courses which are offered by the "language center" which kinda belongs to the university, but these courses are not part of any study programme (this is what I did with Swedish e.g.). But then we also have other language courses which are part of study programmes (this would be the Modern Greek course). So I think the latter are taking place, but not the former.

I've read about 5 by him, I liked 2, but didn't like 3.... So let's see :qhehe:

I haven't read anything by King :mcblush: I'm afraid he might be overrated or something, you know. Besides I've never been into horror/thriller. But I know I should expand with genres a bit more.

our language center claims to have switched more than 80% of the courses online. as for courses that are part of study programs, that's actually where I'm worried. I couldn't find any other language courses except mine and the latin course

saw a seminar on jewish american comics. I wonder if it's taking place. maybe I could visit. and read a few comics :mcheh:

I'm not into horror or thriller either. I just get scared too easily

I read one Stephen King book and it was horrible, so boring and dry, so I immediately stopped reading him forever XD I guess with an author that has so many books there's a chance I will like some of them but I'm not sure I want to risk it XD

I read a couple King books years ago. I wasn't impressed. Then, a couple years ago, I read a book of his short stories. I thought it was very mediocre. Didn't really like a single thing. I might have just gotten unlucky with some duds, but I said that's it, no more King for me! I love the Shawshank Redemption movie, but it's quite a bit different from the short story.
