Don't forget, she's one of them weird canucks too, so her school system is probably way different.

I don't know, High School was a joke for me. I could (and did) literately sleep through my classes.

I'm planning on having only one spare, just so I can squeeze in music and have it done all four years. (X
But that IB program thing sounds hard!

LOL canucks? Did you just take that off of Vancouver's hockey team's name?
But I don't really like highschool that much either. Those movies really exaggerate the "highschool is the best years of your life" theme xD

...no. That's a word people use for Canadians. Maybe it originates from the hockey team, or maybe the team comes from it. I have no idea, but it's something that gets used.

I've actually never heard or seen someone use that term on a Canadian before (x LOL
But then what do people call Americans? o;

I don't know. Americans just call us Americans (or the really arrogant ones call us the best, but ya know...) I have no idea what people outside of America call Americans, since I'm not outside America.

Oh, the UK used to call us "Yanks", or "Yankees". Not sure if that slang is still used. Maybe Oni can pop in and let us know.

almost all movies about highschool are a lie haha

yeah I remember her talking about her school system awhile ago and I was like 'waat'. IB was hard man, but it made my first year of college pretty easy

and I'm sure there are many names people call americans...many not so good names lol

also, man, my friend calls me a yankee/yank (jokingly, but still) since my mom is from up north, so i'm not 'southern' enough to be considered a southerner (which is probably a good thing)

Is the Yankees suppose to be a positive term? XD

@frogger: yeah I figured they were a lie once I started highschool.
Our school system is not that complicated. It's pretty simple, besides the whole difference between university and college part.
I have a couple of relatives down at Staten Island. (Not sure if I spelled that right) and they asked us to visit us sometime, but like, sometime hasn't come yet LOL
But you Americans are like really lucky. You guys have better conventions than us, and like you guys have KCON and stuff. (Which I'm really envious about especially because Henry Lau and Amber were there !"

I was in an IB program for the last half of high school, and it didn't noticeably change the difficulty. (Actually, the IB math class was easier than the math I'd been in previously XD And I'd already been in advanced English, the only real difference with IB English is that we had to send papers away to some external office to get graded which was weird.)

I don't think my High School had anything like that. Well, maybe, but it wasn't called the same thing if it did.
