Yeah.
On the other hand... next month there will be something new.
And it could be. Well. It could be anything.

Yes. Anything. Now I almost hope it won't be a room item. And yet... Ugh...

Hey, we can revive the writing discussion! Nothing wrong with that. :)
Also, I love the Persephone myth. Also hate it, because since when is an adult woman the subject of a custody battle in perpetuity with no voice of her own in the matter, hm? But I do understand that the times were VERY different and so was the culture and it's such a neat myth!
And makes me want pomegranates.

@lilyse
I like it, love the way the red pops out of it. :)
And feel free to jump back in. If there's anything I don't mind talking about, it'd be things about reading and writing. Sometimes even my inner geek comes out with those things, lol.
@akili
I was actually a never fan of any of those myths, and yet I like many, old, fairytales and such... And now you made me want pomegranates. Those are good...

...nom pomegranates.

i also just received a vial of 'persephone' perfume from black phoenix alchemy lab, which is a combination of pomegranate and rose. :9
i first heard that particular myth in kindergarten, which was a bit of an odd time for it, honestly. but it is a story that has followed me around all my life?

there are many retellings of it, too - some that give her a bit more agency, and some that... don't.

Yeah, many of the things from our childhood will follow us rest of our lives. Which can be both bad and good of course.

it is so true! :o coincidentally, akili li mentioned the song tum balalaika in one of the music threads, which i haven't heard for years and years and had quite forgotten about.
...i'm very happy, actually.

it's a lovely song.

...I've had for months different songs stuck in my head for days before another would take over... Today (and yesterday?) it's been the song Summer wine. So annoying. Then occasionally there's also been entire (or parts of it) movies playing in my head. Also annoying. Lol.

summer wine? i'm not certain i've heard that one - i'll have to youtube it after i finish listening to ten billion versions of tum balalaika.
so, leo, may i ask which fandoms you write for? i'm currently in the undertale fandom, and was quite quite active in the kingdom hearts fandom a while back.

and then working on some original projects.
