And aren't there other myths where Hades is all "no" and she's all "shut up you idiot husband, I say yes" and he's just "okay" and the myth goes on?

Sorry I abandoned the conversation, guys. Got a new email alert which was super promising at first as being forwarded the email of the daughter of the colleague of the Elders that we want to go meet on this upcoming trip, but.... when I composed an email to her, to try and figure out where in the country they were and get help coordinating a visit?
It bounced.
So then I wanted to try and figure out how to find her another way... but got frustrated and came back.

I wish I knew Japanese!

Anyhow. Persephone myths. I first heard it very young, too -because our family cat was named Persephone. So yep. Similar story.

@Kitalpha: I think that was the Orpheus myth, right? Because Persephone is the one who wanted to give in to him?

I used to study Japanese and even have a friend in Japan. Wouldn't know any of it now though, lol. I really should go back to studying all those things I've allowed myself to forget... Shame on me... Shame...
