There are some places in the US where you're not supposed to give food or any aid directly to homeless people. It is actually against the law in some places. The US is a capitalist hellscape. Yay. -sarcasm.

wow that's terrible. 8u its like the US wants to have more homeless people starve to death. 8u or something.

The homeless issue gets worse and worse. And then there are those laws... so it's like the USA makes people homeless, then uses that to kill them off... o3o population control? -conspiracy so prolly not true, but makes one think 'what if'-

Yea.. o3o just a theory though.

I mean. Mental health issues cause cleanliness issues of people and apartments. And those things are what get people evicted from homes.

Then there are landlords who just up the rent because land taxes or maint work prices went up and raised rent means some people just can't pay there for eviction. Price of energy and water and sewage is going up too.. =/

Then there are those who lose homes to natural disasters and malicious humans burning homes down... And hardly anything is done to help them, they have to rely on charity and/or home insurance.

tbh, sometimes i feel like i may have problems empathizing with certain things. and sometimes i have TOO much empathy.

Not to be too intense but the USA is the homeland of the eugenics movement. Soooo, I feel like it's honestly not too far off to say they would be willing to use homelessness as a way of population control.


I also go the gamete of way too much empathy to very little empathy. Like I have a friend on facebook who is constantly posting about their dead loved ones. And I get it, it really sucks. But it seems so performative. And it's been like 5+ years. I'm not saying to get over it, but freaking chill bro.

well china has a problem with population control. tried to limit the amount of births. but then that backfired because now they have more elderly people and not enough young people. so an increasing population of elderly plus any younger gens just want to leave china for better opportunities. at least, i think that's the situation there.

oh. yeah i'd totally feel the same as you, like it just starts sounding like they're asking for sympathy. like "hey, i'm sad, be sad with me" or something.

My mom would repeat stuff from decades ago as if it just happened and it'd get annoying. But sadly it was part of her mental illness.. not sure it was her bipolar or something else but she couldn't control it.

It pisses me off when people do it on purpose though.. Makes people get pissed off those who actually can't help it.

yeah purposely asking for sympathy where there are other people who actually want or need that sympathy....its because of these people who are purposely asking for it that others start getting mad or not believing people who actually need it. its very dishonest. 8u
