I actually found people annoying when they give their sympathies towards my mom's death.

I guess I can only take so many "My condolences"

And my one neighbor, mom's friend Rose, she keeps bringing mom's death up which is upsetting but it's obvious she's struggling to move on.. I mean her son also died a week before mom, and her husband died a few months ago. She's had it pretty rough.

but sometimes, its like "how much sympathy is too much sympathy?" sometimes, its hard to tell and you don't want to offend anyone by not caring.

Yea.. I never know what to say to someone when they tell me about a death of a friend or loved one.. Have they heard something too much or do they need to hear it more?

I always go with "I'm sorry" in the end >A<

I actually kind of hate telling people about my past sometimes because it really slows down conversation or something. Like we'll be talking about families and people will be like oh you have any siblings and I practically facepalm. Because then I'll have to tell them about my dead sister and they'll be like how did your parents take that and then I'm like, well my dad died 6 months later and my mom did not do great. And then they're sad and I'm like this happened when I was 17 can we please go back to what we were talking about? I'm still sad about them being dead, but there's nothing to be done about it. So why obsess over it?

Yeah I don’t like going into family stuff in conversation. Actually I hate talking about my personal life too. Like I’d go into the most external versions but anything more deeper, I shy away from.
