Oh yes, flying a 10 ton metal-and-kevlar beast carrying a shitload of humans (or cargo, more likely) would definitely make me as free, nimble and pretty as a bird. 8D

Anyway it's funny you mention KLM. I would really want to fly for them, I can't imagine a pilot who wouldn't, but the way it looks now it's fairly impossible >>
As for the long flights, I wouldn't want to become a pilot if I'd only care for the short flights right? I wánt to see other parts of the world and that takes long flights. xD
I'm quite sure I'd have to start on the short ones though. At least if I'd stay in Europe. I'd probably even have to start at small airlines that don't even go outside of Europe like Transavia and RyanAir.
But on the other hand, the chance that I'd have to base in Asia is rather big. If I were a guy the Middle East would be even better but yeah, you catch my drift. xD
