Maybe staple a strip of shaggy carpeting to the bottom of the door? So you don't get the air movement going back and forth under it?
(I'm thinking some form of carpet with really deep pile; you want to be able to close and open it yourself without difficulty but the carpet should reach down far enough so that it doesn't really move too much on its own)

I have a small gap between my bedroom carpet and bathroom tiling, and there's a nail I keep on stepping on. It hurts, but I can't get a rug in case I trip...

Can you just pound the nail further in so it fits flat?
It seems like that would be the simplest solution!

It's something pointy that sticks up! It might not actually be a nail...

I'm trying to be careful around that area, but every now and then I step on it.

Why is it there in the first place?

(Maybe it's just me but I would definitely get down in that area and do a careful search to see what it really is, and then either cap it off or pound it flat, because that sounds hazardous! But then, I'm one of those people who, if there's a chance of a splinter I'll get it, if there's only one spot that's sticky I'll step in it, etc etc. So I'd for sure step on it all the time! If you are one of those careful people who can be aware of things and you're fine.... well, good for you, lol. I just would have to actually do something about it before I'd be safe. :P )
