True, but castwise I think they did quite good with the current movies, only thing I'm sad about is lack of poc representation and also the Lavender Brown switch really irked me at the time

Yeah, that could be something to switch up if they made a show out of it.
Give us some more POC representation that's more than just a side character.

I personally quite like some people's headcanon that Hermione could be black. I think if Netflix went with that I'd quite like it c:
and then more ofc, let Dean and Seamus be openly gay or bi please
same with Dumbledore and Grindelwald

For real. Give me the POC and LGBT+ representation we deserve!
I'm also in support of a bi Harry, tbh.
And someone's gotta be a lesbian.
Tbh, I think I saw a smol fanfic post on tumblr where McGonagall was a lesbian and had a wife and I SUPPORT IT.
And find me an asexual!

I would die for some asexual representation, where they also maybe show or have the character explain the different kinds of aces so I can like clip the scene and send it to people that ask me when I'm going to get myself a partner and have kids etc :'D
or guys that always say they get it and then ask 'but like what if we were together for a while' 2 mins after >>

I feel that in my soul because if I hear ONE MORE person tell me "you just haven't found the right person yet" (or any variation of it) I will explode.
Or those people who think it's a personal attack on them.
Like, what does MY sexuality or sexual preferences have to do with YOU????

"but like, what if this or that or later or or or" etc etc etc
aces differ but for me my aceness is not conditional and it mostly just irks me that people actively choose not to believe me. that's what it feels like at least when they keep questioning me etc
like I totally get that people that do experience sexual attraction cannot ever imagine just not feeling that (just as I can't imagine having those feelings in turn)
but I don't need people to understand it, just respect it the same way they should respect gay or lesbian people and their orientation c':
and that seems so hard for some people O.o

Yeah, I just really can't stand the people who call us broken or like, aliens.
Like yah, I'm a broken alien. Fear me.

Not sure how possible it would be to put some more sexual orientation representation into HP, since to me it seems that sex and relationships are just not a big theme of it? I mean, the ones we got are mostly not deeply developed or really cringeworthy :D Or is that just from the perspective of looking at them again now as a grown woman in a stable relationship? Were those relatable as a kid/teen?
Why would anyone call an ace person an alien?? :o

Because people can get really mean when they don't understand something c':
God no relationships in HP were mostly awkward but I think that's fitting cause they're teens, its realistic to have things be so awkward imo haha
but good representation would be easy to me personally. I'd be super happy if there was just a scene were one person is saying something along the lines of
'so I finally confessed to - that I like them'
'so you dating now or what, celebratory butterbeer or Firewater to numb the tears mate' /joking and laughter, friendly teasing etc
'They said it wouldn't work out, they're ace'
and then either have one character ask for an explanation so the viewer would get one, and have them keep a respectable friendship, or have them talk it out in the background and end up together anyway cause yeah that's still completely possible c':
