I haven't gotten into rooms very much yet.
I have a few items that my Knuffels have dug up, and that's about it.
Also the Halloween event items.

knuffels can DIG UP items for their own rooms?!

Yeah, they dig up elemental items (Earth jar, darkness window, door, chair etc.)
And I am not really into the room items, I mostly have event items and some other shop items here and there.

Okay, so do they dig up elemental items like the food points as a consolation prize when they would not normally have found something, or is it a rare possibility among the materials, so the better your digging skill the higher your chances?

I imagine it's the same possibility as your Knuffel digging up elemental avatar items.
Pretty rare, and I've only gotten a few of each.
I don't know, though.

Random~! Well I think because I got items from my lower level knuffels. So I do not think to get an item you have to be really high level. It's just rare to get.

Okay, I will try and be patient and not go all-out attempting to find these. >.<
Although it's definitely time to switch focus back from wild knuffels to regular knuffels!

I just don't have the will to feed/play with my Knuffel all the time.
I don't know how people get them to level 100.
I've been here a long time and my first Knuffel is only 50 something. :U ;;;

I can't speak for everyone, but I very happily cheat and use daycares (from the coupons you get around the forums), and as soon as you save up enough for a fairy coin, get a lava lamp!
And once they get to a higher level so it's a lot of clicks to get them up to full bars, it might be worth grabbing a cupcake and an apple, so that you can just go on and dig with them each day and not worry about feeding/playing....

It took me over a year to get my first level 100.
Just getting people to feed and play here and there does help! Every little thing adds up! I do random feeds so I just go and feed someones knuffels a little, and then if I am lucky they would feed a couple of mine back.
Akili, Its not cheating using the lava lamps and daycare!!
