I learned how to skate in figure skates so I think I'm just screwed. I think my feet are too wide now, hahaha. :'(
Did anyone else learn with figure skates? Or hockey skates? Or is that not a thing outside of Canada ? ?_?

First one is figure skates. They have that pick on the front to allow for spinning and whatnot, the kinda stylin' shenanigans you see in figure skating... cos that's what they are for, haha.
Hockey skates lack the pick and are less fitted but more sturdy.

Most kids I knew used hockey skates unless they were enrolled in figure skating.
I'm not really sure why me and my sister got figure skates. My parents were born in the 50s and like classically assigned gender roles, I guess ?_?
