It wasn't a thing here until 5 years ago. Even then it wasn't very big at first. It's mostly because of Amazon, they put on this massive sale and every other company decided they have to compete. Now even ridiculous people put on sales that you wouldn't think would be involved. Normally I snap up some Christmas presents in the sales but I didn't spot anything this time and I didn't have much time to look anyway. Seems like sales have been constant all year here.

It seems our Polish Black Friday is nothing compared to the American one. Our sales are pretty small and it's not like I see a difference, we always get slight sales around Christmas.
I should think about the presents, but I'm clueless and we don't have much money this year sooo... sweets it is! XD

I think ours is still small compared to the US but it's big compared to our normal sales if that makes sense.
I went to a fashion show last night and it was really horrible. I was supposed to be going today as well but I opted out. It was really amateurish and it took 3 hours to send 9 designers with 10 looks each down the catwalk. Normally a show with 5 designers, that I see each fashion week from the same team, takes 20 minutes to do. So how they managed to stretch it out that long is ridiculous. It felt like slow torture. Plus I was surrounded by Pakistani men who apparently have reeeeally different cultural ideas about personal space than we do D: I couldn't wait to get out of there, so horrible all round. And everyone was yelling to one another, getting up in the middle of the show to walk around and chat, gahhh I've never seen anything like that before. I need to recover

I'm glad I didn't go today though, turned out there was a Christmas fair in our town that I had no idea about. They were turning the Christmas lights on in the high street and there was a little fireworks display as well as some live music. Pretty good exchange :3

It was kind of cheesy, mostly stuff from the 90s and early 2000s. But in a good, you can sing along to it kind of way. J was not impressed at all but I thought it was kind of cute XD

Black friday is a thing here too and cyber monday too.
I wish the sales were better though. 20% isn't a good discount. 40% is better.
That said I'm looking forward to winter sale on steam around christmas. Hopefully two games I want are on better sale, cause the sale price atm just makes the exchange of usd to aud the same as the usd original price.

(so game is $19.99 on sale, but the sale price makes it $19.99AUD when you count exchange rates).

Exchange rates are killing me right now. The pound is doing really well, which isn't good for me because most of my clients pay in dollars XD I've got over $1k that I can't withdraw from PayPal until the rate gets a bit better (or I get desperate I suppose).

Oh, that sounds bad, jacob :( Exchange rates can really be a pain. Holding my thumbs for you that you'll see better rates and be able to withdraw your money soon!
