This is very cute! I think that the change to the system will be better, too.

I like that change
that way when it's slow we won't have to wait a year to see something sell out
and half a year sounds pretty good anyway if that's what you'll be doing

I also like the time limit on adoption. Its long enough for users to gather enough food to buy one, but not so long that we never see a new one.
