i could never quit, that would be like quitting eating, or quitting breathing. i couldn't do it, it's too much a fundamental part of myself. it'd be like cutting off one of my hands.

I think it depends on the reasons. If you just don't like it anymore why wouldn't you quit to do the things you do like?

What a person decides to do is up to them, but personally, I don't think I'd ever quit any of my hobbies.
Art can be frustrating to me since I'm a perfectionist, but it's also a good way for me to express myself and have fun. I think if we take our hobbies too seriously, we might lose out on the "fun" aspect and maybe get discouraged by our own short-comings.
I love art too much to ever stop drawing or doodling entirely.
