At least that was my impression that the most are from Germany. There are also British people tho And probably many more.

That's true, unfortunately. I've participated in a chat with Firn, the illustrator in another thread not too long ago, she said it's probably because the forums are pretty much dead. and I'm like... how is it so dead when I talk all the time? And then I realized I've never looked into the newbies welcome forums And so I thought, maybe if I check this forum section often and greet people and not be too intimidating (because kofk is full of shy people, lol), maybe some would see it's not as dead as it may seem and they would stick around for longer at least.
I took the mission upon myself, lol XD
Because I don't suppose the site itself is a problem, the art is cute, there are plenty of activities, updates are regular... it must be about the community's activity.

and yeah, i guess that's what happens when a site has been around for a long time? i considered maybe posting my knuffel in other places to remind people that hey this place is still alive but i'd like to commission some art for the bb to make it more enticing (rather than just posting the icon, because not everyone would figure out that they need to click it to feed and play with it).

perhaps Kofk needs to extend its reach as well? but I'm not sure how the other avatar forum sites are doing right now

Yeah, I'm clueless about other avatar sites tbh. I just know a lot of people left and new people don't really stay. And kofk is in trouble not only in terms of activity, but due to that, also financially.
I would love to help the site but I don't really know how...

A lot of oldies have been popping back on, I think. Now that I have more time, I'm back as well (for now, orz)

I know gaia online is still around somehow, but I'm not sure how active its members are. I think avatar chat forums are kinda dwindling out.

I think the best thing we could do to help the site is donate, TBH. Or, like, recruit people? And talk more actively? IDK
