thanks i ended up looking above and saw a lot of ppl were saying going thru the shops so i did and now am onto the pearl quest

Anglerfishes do not appear in a fixed place as candies do, instead there is a chance of randomly finding one anyhwere.

Try browsing subforums with plenty of pages, clicking "Next" until you find one.
Many people find this system rather fast.
And don't feel discouraged: some tasks are meant to be a little more time consuming than others.

You said you have gone through 216 pages. That takes about 216 seconds, maybe 2 or 3 times as long if your internet connection isn't that fast, so let's say 3 seconds to load a page -
You spent between 3,6 and 15,8 minutes on today's task, found 9 fish and are already complaining. If you aren't willing to spend something like an hour on one of the few slightly more difficult tasks, then this is because of your lack of time or commitment, so please do not blame it on someone else or even say that the task was impossible.

The Easter Event 2013 for example required a total of 1700 pop ups to collect all items. And people managed. THAT was hard! (too hard, probably) People have managed much more difficult events, this task isn't even really difficult compared to whole past events we had.

It definitely takes longer than just a second to load a page. Sometimes it can take a few. I make sure to load the page fully because I've almost missed fish before. The pop up doesn't always appear immediately as I get on the page.

I'm not the only person talking about how hard it's been to find them or having a lack of time. It definitely took me more than 15 minutes because I was looking before I went into the 216 pages and I did not sit here constantly clicking on the next page.

Don't get me wrong, I like the event, I just think being expected to sit here clicking away is a bit much. I'm sure the Easter event gave people more than 24 hours to find all 1700 pop ups. 45 in 24 hours (Or the 12 that I've had) wouldn't be so bad if they actually popped up for me. You would think that if the odds were the same, I would have found them all since I went through the same number of pages for the first fish.

Now starting to wonder if the tasks will increase in what they ask of you each and every day... I am on Bromine now, so talking in forums it is

And back to a posting task. I take it we've seen all the kinds of tasks we're going to get and they're repeating now? Also I was excited for a moment at seeing the Bromine since I already had some from digging but Lord W can evidently tell the difference between the two despite them using the same icon. The event icon for the Bromine isn't showing up in my inventory but at least Lord W is correctly tracking the amounts I get.

Actually, it shows the quest material image when you post; but if you check your inventory the correct image and quantity are displayed (in the "usable" section).

i was just reading up and saw that there was an event. been in the forums now for about an hour trying to catch up on 3 years of missed events and pretty much everything.

Now to try to figure out where those fish guys are at.

Has anyone made a thread that gives spoilers about what you get for completing certain tasks? I'd really like to know what prizes I am missing out on by skipping...Anyone?

Man, these posting ones are hard. I'm a lurker, so I don't really have established places to chat. I've almost reached the point where I'm going to give up and buy the items. Hoping for a little more task variety coming up, too, because this escalation is going crazy.
I love the popup tasks, though. My internet connection is good enough that I actually have a good time clicking around and finding stuff.
For people who have been on this site longer than me, are there other kinds of tasks that have been in past events that we might see again?
