any reading is reading! how is the goats book? :)
I haven't finished anything since that comic spree mid january. added some craft books to the goodreads challenge so it made 9 out of 16. but since those craft books were as thin as whose graphic novels
, I'm increasing the number to 20

It's ok. It's cute, but I don't know. Not very memorable I guess. So far it's just a picture of each goat at the sanctuary with a very short bio.

I've been keeping it by the computer and reading it while I wait for things, like while I wait for the battleground queue in World of Warcraft or for the other person's turn in Hearthstone!

Could've sworn it was the other way round, oh well XD I think there's something else... ahhhh damnit let me go into KDP and remember XD
Oh I got it! Amazon forces you to accept certain things at 70% royalty. Like you have to be enrolled in the book lending program, meaning two or even more people can read the book on just one purchase, which sucks.
Anywhoooo, I should update that I haven't been able to read much the past couple of days. I usually read before bed but I've just been too tired.

I finished the goat book. It was so short that I probably shouldn't count it, but I will!

Great for readers, not so great for authors XD
I'm kinda split on whether Kindle Unlimited is a good thing, too. I mean, I'll always be of the opinion that books should be in it, but I do notice that titles seem to earn less from that than from actual sales. They pay by the page so I guess for longer books it's better to be Unlimited.

um yea but all of that works towards discoverability. I got a bundle of 10 ebooks for $15. loved one of them to pieces. next thing I do? buy it for my friend. wait, actually the first thing I do is write a detailed 5 star review on goodreads and amazon. and then buy a paperback for a friend. both benefits you as an author. amazon's rating grows and you have your book talked about. which leads to sales. yay.
(in truth I paid $40 for that bundle, but only $25,2 went to the authors, but I could get all those books for as low as $15)
(also in truth there were 2 volumes containing multiple parts of a series, so we can say I got 17 books. but some are more like novellas than novels, so does it even matter?)
since amazon is limiting the program (you can lend a book only once), it doesn't really hurt authors that much, does it? plus, not every buyer is going to lend their copy to someone. and if your book is good, people will be buying your stuff to support you. I hope?
