I think it was a very special place for many of us, and we missed the kind of conversations we could have here.
I could talk about very personal stuff I had nobody to talk with, that felt great, and because at that time I was living alone I felt way less lonely.

It does feel like finding that safe place to return to.

I'm finding returning rather amusing too because the last time I was on here, I was a dumb high school student, and now I'm a responsible (?) adult.
So the way I'm approaching the site is different-ish? I'm definitely having completely different conversations here than before XD

Makes me curious how your conversational style will change further in another handful of years, Natsuyuki...
The venue of a forum definitely shapes conversational skills, though!
It's a great method of being able to practice speaking with a large variety of people over a great many topics...

Ha ha ha ha ha, okay I'm overly tired because this level of amusement over that level of concept is a clear sign of sleep deprivation.... (but I'm still giggling)

It definetely shaped my conversational skills.
I mean, I haven't studied any English since I was a highschooler muself, and my skills improved ever since.
My only practice has been reading books (which of course makes a huge difference in reading skills) and writing in forums. So, yes, a cetificate would be in order :D

I remember when I first played on forums back in junior high/ high school, my conversation style was just "weeb on sugar high"...

Hopefully I sound more like a functional human now. XD
