Thanks. I wasn't close to her, but it still bothers me.

I felt the same when my maternal grandparents passed away. They live in Hong Kong so I wasn’t all that close to them. O:

Yeah. I don't know if I feel regret for not being closer or what.

Uncle Bill finally called. She had a heart attack then she collapsed, hit her head, and when they tried to resurrect her it was too late. They dated 7 years before marriage and they had been married for 43 years. He was everything to her and now he wants to give up.

Awwww. Well I hope he can think things through rationally and calm down. D:

Yeah. Luckily right now his daughter is there.

So enough of my depressing news, how are you?

I’m good although it’s been freezing these past few days. How bout you?

Yeah, I hate the cold.

Good. My daughter's school had set up a thing where some of the children where paired up with other families outside the school and those families buy gifts for the child(ren) they are paired with. Naturally I signed Joslyn up for it and I just got a phone call from the school telling me the family will call me Saturday and let me know when they'll be bringing the gifts. This will be great for her. She'll get clothes and toys. And my best friend who is sort of her god mother (her beliefs are different so I don't know what she'd be classified as) she ordered my daughter a gift too.

ohhhhhhhh so like a schoolwide secret santa? that's kinda nice! c;

we don't really celebrate the holiday to be honest. we're more motivated to Chinese New Years and such. More Asian holidays.

Nice. I wish I could afford to go somewhere to see a Chinese New Year parade. I've seen some images on TV, but I bet their better in person.
