It would be so sad for the users, though, I don't think that would be a good business strategy in the long run.
Spam-accounts, yes....
And there are plenty of very very old non-spam threads that have not been used in over four years; those could easily be deleted to help with that stuff, before touching accounts! D:
But maybe I'm just overprotective of mine :D

That's true! We don't need all those old inactive threads.
Besides, I imagine some people might want to start fresh when they come back?
As far as threads go ...
I was only gone for half a year or so before coming back this Halloween,
and I have been recreating all my threads, haha.
The only one I kept was my Quest Thread.

half a year isn't too long.
I do feel like any thread not used in three years or more could probably go.
Maybe that's just me. It would make the forums seem less big and imposing to the new people, and leave things as easier to find in the future.

when I've been going through doing all the old polls to get FP for knuffels I found ones from 2010. :lol:
Although ones from 2011 and more recent were more common.
