It's actually not Hurricane Flo getting me this time. I was just being all jumpy and wimpy because the other night the fire alarm went off at ten at night, and I was ignoring it as usual because our alarm is broken and I didn't smell any smoke. The security guards came and banged on my door till I came out, and I didn't dare ignore them because I've had people unlock my door and walk right in before.

*hugs tam* Honestly, it's not really somethign to be ashamed of when you didn't know it was a legit alarm sounding. I doubt the security guards were that upset with you, and maybe it'll get them to fix the thing so that it's not randomly going off.

It's been broken since I moved here, sixteen years ago. Ringing whenever it pleased, and usually on very cold days in winter, due to condensation.

I didn't think the guys were mad at me. It's just the fact that I can't ignore knocking here, because I've had people walk right into the apartment more than once.

how in the heck does the complex pass inspections then? And honestly I don't know canadian law, but here if they did that without your permission, they would be arrested for breaking and entering, landlords nor those representing them can not enter the residence without 48 hours notice, nor can they barge in when they please.
