I know, I know he'll be sensible. Every time I think about him and these guys going out on the stag/bucks do I can't help but picture all those bad Hangover-style movies where someone gets abandoned D: Sort of like: I trust him, but I don't trust the other people around him.
I'm going to try and take on a lot of work over the next week. Most people are taking time off at this time of year so there will be plenty available, and it will distract me so I don't think about it too much.

Haha, yeah, I totally get that

But hopefully he can take proper care of himself
Too bad you can't relax during the holidays, that's the best time to do it ;/ but if it's supposed to help you then go for it *hugs*

Where in Australia is he going?
We don't have rabies here, as far as I know.

Kangaroos are not so common in city areas. If they're around a suburb area it's because we cleared the land they used to live on. If he saw one he'd be insane to fight one. There's a reason we don't drive at night much unless you drive a truck around here where I live, which is semi rural/regional. Because kangaroos are stupid around vehicles. And unpredictable.
Again if he wandered off in the outback, it depends where he's visiting.
Planes are safer than cars. As for it or a car crashing then I can't give advise but I'm guessing chances aren't that high for it to happen.
That said I do understand being worried. Just don't worry yourself sick. <3 he'll be fine.

xD
Well being Australian and living here I do kind of know things about my country. And we don't ride kangaroos to school. That'd be stupid

He's going near Melbourne, but off in one of the smaller towns outside of it. I can't remember how long away they said the city is, but I know it's car journey away rather than somewhere you could walk to.
I know he'd be stupid or crazy to get into most of those situations but he can be stupid sometimes XD
I don't find my work to be the opposite of relaxing to be fair, most of the time it's fine. I can also stretch out work with doing things like watching TV or playing games in-between assignments when I want to relax a bit more.

Melbourne is good. Also a lot of places here are car journeys. We're a massive country.
And tbh if it were at night I'd say it'd be a bit tricky using public transport. That and you need like these cards for the trams and trains and bus..
Mem - it's a ongoing gag where aussies convince overseas people on the internet that we ride kangaroos to work or school. Or that drop bears are real.

Sorry I disappeared again!
Thanks, I like this avi, too ^.^
And jacob, I totally see why you are worried, especially this "I trust him, but not the people around him" - aspect. But as the others already pointed out, he will be sensible, I am sure :)
Rather try to see the positive things in it, like he's going to have a great time, explore the country a bit, see new things etc. etc. :)
It's also a pretty good idea to work more, in my opinion. It will be distracting, you will help your employer and you're getting paid. Yaaay :D
I also wish I could practice French... I learned it for 6 years at school. I bet I cannot even talk to a stranger now. All I can say is things like 'I'm hungry' 'where is the bathroom' 'I want to buy this please' etc.
But yea, on the other hand my Swedish is doing pretty well! I am so happy!

I'm my own employer, but yes, it will help me greatly XD
Feeling a bit aimless today haha, it's weird settling back in to my parent's house.
I'm in one of the moods where I start one thing but then start another one instead of finishing it. Probably at some point it will all add up to a full day of work XD
