Beats me. It's subsidized housing. And the first time they barged in there was a notice, but I was too sick to get out of bed. So they knocked, and I didn't hear anything till the door was open and somebody was saying something in surprise. Legal, but still left wimpy me twitchy. And the second time the manager didn't even knock, because he thought my apartment was the empty one he needed to tend. I was sitting in front of the computer in tank top and underpants (sorry for scary mental pictures).

The first time I can understand the fear because you'd been ill, the 2nd time, he is very lucky no one reported him. You're supposed to triple check the apartment Numbers when doing something like that.

I didn't even know I could report him, or to whom. I'm so used to being patronized, talked down to, or treated like an erring child by the company that runs this place that I've given up trying to say anything about the place. Like, one time I mentioned that the tub was dripping a tiny bit, but that I wasn't going to tell the manager because it wasn't enough to worry about. I got scolded thoroughly, and they told the manager to look at it. He looked, and then scolded me for bothering him about something that wasn't worth troubling over. And another time I got an eviction notice because my rent was a day late, I stupidly panicked and paid again. Then, when I asked if I couldn't get that extra 120 dollars back, I was told, "Oh, we don't reimburse small sums like that. You're just all paid up for next month!" My entire income at the time was less then seven hundred dollars a month, and it was December.

Aww. That seems to go with my brain.

But I just reread the package on some food I've been eating, and found out it's got potato flour in it. That has probably helped me feel this loopy.
