Kingdom of Knuffel

I am familiar with carnelian, because we used to find carnelian agates in one of the places I lived growing up. But I had not come across Kyanite before. I'll have to look it up!

I think my favorite stone is probably malachite, and my favorite gem would be star garnets.

There are a lot of really pretty one.

I do like the ones with patterns inherent to them. Like Spanish Lace agates, and Lake Superior agates, and tigers' eye (both gold and blue), and opals. Gem-wise, star-anything and opals are all so pretty.
I like rutilated quartz, too... (how do you spell 'rutilated'? Spellcheck doesn't like the way I just tried)

My favorite gem is actually Opal, especially since it's what I dreamed to be on my engagement ring growing up (which it is!). As far as other stones/crystal go I enjoy Tanzanite and Morganite because they are really pretty :U

one of my sisters' husband can't wear a ring to work, so when they got engaged they made an appointment with a tattooist to work out a design, and a little bit before their marriage they went in and got rings tattooed on. The day of the wedding they just both had gloves on as part of their outfits, so when it came time to exchange rings they took off the gloves and showed everyone the tattoos. It was really cute!

hee hee, I thought it was really clever and cute, but he comes from a very traditional family and a couple of his relatives were really shocked by anyone in their family having a -gasp!- tattoo!
Watching their faces while they struggled with the concept was pretty funny; fortunately they might be traditional but they also love him and they are not unreasonable, and by the time the reception came around they'd gotten their initial response under control, lol, and only had good things to say (or kept their mouths shut, that was just as good really).
I did laugh, though. It hadn't even occurred to him to warn them. He was just so excited by the whole thing!
