If it's legal for her to smoke, cause of age and country's legality on that kind of smoking, then I dunno why the dad's concerned..well I do but if she's of age.. like 18/21 (here of age is 18).

Where was she in the end?

Good to hear you're trying xD
Well, of course he doesn't want her to smoke. Neither do we, but she's 16 and 16 yr-olds do stupid things no matter if their families like it or not. She ended up being on a "gay party" as she put it, then hung out with us for about an hour at 2-3 AM, then went back home.
It's not that her dad didn't want her to stay home, she just doesn't get along with his lady. So even if she wanted to stay home, she'd rather go out if the hag is home as well.

@River: She's 16, and we're talking about smoking pot. Pot is illegal in Poland, unless prescribed by a doctor (since last year only, and I'm pretty sure it's hardly ever done). Even if were talking cigarettes, she's still 16. So she's not of age, but I think we all know that she's going to do anything she wants, because that's how he raised her. Plus she's a teen, they generally don't care. He has an adult daughter who smokes and he doesn't make a sound about it. It would be stupid if he did, because she's an adult already.

Fair enough.

It's illegal here too. I read that recreational use is legal in California now.

tbh if I didn't like my mum's partner (if she got one) I wouldn't hang about either.. (if I still lived at home).

What do you mean by hang about?

I don't care if someone I love is an adult or not, I would still berate them about smoking weed and try everything possible to get them to stop. It's so bad for your brain. J used to do it when we first met and I had absolutely zero interest in a relationship with him until he stopped that and stopped normal cigarettes as well. Even so he still gets bouts of paranoia. I hate how many celebrities are so casual about it, and how it's getting legalised in so many places. And how many people go "oh well it can't harm you" when all the research and evidence states that it clearly bloody can. /rant

I never said it doesn't do any harm XD I actually think everything you take too much f will harm you in some way. Plus people should avoid such things as cigarettes, drugs, alcohol because they clearly do more harm than good. But try explaining a 16 year old that she's gonna regret some of her decisions, even the small ones, like taking that first cigarette that will make her addicted for life. Good luck. We don't encourage her (but she did come to us and smelled of pot and cigarettes, so... but she could've been just as well merely sitting among people who smoked this or that, it all stays in the hair and clothes ;/), and at any given chance Ash berates her for even thinking about those stuff, but he can't really control her actions. Only she can do that. (Her father is good for nothing in that matter XD)
The truth with legalising this stuff is that the government gets taxes from it. Plus if something gets legalised, many people don't get the thrill of breaking the law anymore, so it's less interesting (for example for teens). Plus if the government takes care of the supplies, they might just be cleaner, as in not mixed with harmful shit that gets you more addicted, quicker and with stronger health harm. I'm just saying generally. I, god forbid, am not saying drugs should be legalised. It's just a theory XD

Well it's been proven prohibition of alcohol didn't work.

Tbh I don't like any of that but I personally don't condone medicinal pot. Though I don't think it's the end and be all gate way pain/cure all drug.

I mean hang about as in be around them. hang out, hang about...hover.. etc

I'm ambivalent about all of this anyways, it has pros and cons. Talking about medicinal pot.
I wish our alcohol was sold only until a certain hour, like 6 PM at most, it would be awesome ^^;

Ah, yes, then you understand, she just doesn't leave her own room in order to not bump into this woman. Or she leaves the house to just avoid her in general. Either way, I'd feel like a prisoner.
Besides that woman has some mental issues of her own, so she's all that much more difficult to be around. And she reflects her issues on everyone else.
But of course, Ash's sister isn't an angel either. So it's an impass, they hate each other and I don't get that man's life decisions AT ALL.

I didn't think you meant that, mem, just my rant to the world in general XD

The only reason prohibition of alcohol didn't work was because it had been legal in the first place. Once you open a door to something and everyone gets addicted to it, it's extremely hard to shut the door again. It's the same thing here, for me. The teens that try it now because it's legal will grow up to be cops and lawmakers and other powerful positions. Then, if everyone wakes up to how bad it is and decides to put a stop to it, it will be too late. Just like how prohibition just created corrupt cops and politicians, so would trying to stop it in the future. Same thing with the taxes too, once the government has a source of taxes they don't have many options for getting rid of it because they come to depend on that income.

Weed is supposedly a good way to deal with fibro in medicinal doses. I would rather suffer the pain and live with my symptoms than to corrupt my brain like that. It's bad enough the medication I'm on now has a couple of mental effects, but at least they aren't as extreme. Even if it was the only medicinal option left, I wouldn't take it.

I was just saying for the record, to be safe XD

What if your medicine would be failing from time to time, you wouldn't try doctor Mary&Juan?
I tried smoking pot once for recreation, but it's not my thing, it burns my lungs and I didn't enjoy that cough x.x
