Is it one of those mini Hatchimals?
I got one of those in my stocking for Christmas. It's a keychain so I hang it from my bag. LoL.
Hatchimals are cool little creatures that come inside a plastic egg. There are mini versions but the originals are large electronic creatures that hatch out of an egg and you can interact with them. You should check them out, super cute!

I got one called HatchiBuddies. The plushes on the cover looked really cute.

Haha, I just had to check youtube on Hatchimals.
Its pretty interesting that they made such a complex technique :O
But also, it kinda reminds me of some sort of "real" or 3D Tamagotchi? XD

Okay. Good thing they didn't exist when I was a child. My mother would have killed it like she did with my Tamagotchi more than once xD
"Mom, can you take care of it while I am in school?" (It was not possible to turn it silent, so we were not allowed to bring them to school.) - "Sure."
Later: "Oh, sorry, your Tamagotchi is dead, I guess... I kept feeding it and somehow it died."

I don't think the hatchimals have a system where they die. They just level up and you get more games you can play with them as they level.

Well, I would have failed in hatching the egg already. I watched a video about them and they said what all the eye colors do and how you need to react to them... well, I forget the moment they mentioned the next eye color.
