False, though I wish I were. We lived in Germany from when I was just a few weeks old until I was 2½. I understood both languages, but didn't separate them when I spoke. When we came back to the US, there was nobody to speak German with, and I had to learn to speak only English so people could understand me. I even had to go to speech therapy when I started school because I still couldn't pronounce a lot of things right – especially the "th" sound.
