ooh if its short enough I'll give it a go ;P
I can multitask, currently reading 2 fics as well as chatting here haha
and if I can binge 2 10k fics in an evening I can slot in a fiver >w>
edit: I already really enjoy the description of Snape's wind-flowing hair
so romantic c';

Haha, why are you reading two fics in parallel though? :D

its just two I've chosen to read tonight, one after the other ;P
I worded that wrong, I meant that those were my plans for the evening and that I can fit in your oneshot c;
which was very nice btw, if not for the pairing it'd be nice and fluffy, romantic etc
as it is the idea of Snape and Dumbledore on one couch near the fireplace, smiling and more is brain error xD

Ah, I see :D
Haha, thank you :)
Yeah, the pairing is difficult, really :D Not that I don't think they might make a good couple (I actually chose them because while it is a pairing I wouldn't want to read about, it doesn't seem all that farfetched to me in comparison to some others I've seen in the fandom), but it's just the kind of characters I wouldn't want to intrude on in moments like those :D

I like to give every pairing a try, and usually will go for fics with good plot along with the relationship, cause I also like to find out what the author thinks of the pairing, how they project it to me etc
one of my all time fave HP fics has Snape/Hermione as the main pairing, which is not something I'd ever come up with myself! But the general plot of the fic is so good and the look they have on their relationship is so fresh that it still gripped me. I found it while it was still being updated and years later I think I've reread the whole thing about 5 times.

Yeah, sometimes even the more exotic pairings can be nice to read if the fic is written well and the relationship is portrayed in an interesting manner. I just don't like when it feels like people drop the charas into weird pairings that make no sense and write them in a way that simply seems to be ignoring their actual characters in order to make it work...

And when they offer no context, sometimes people will just go plot-what-plot and just write two characters doing the do cause they think its hot c':
give me plot, that doesn't even center around the relationship or does but in a really branched out way with more characters involved!
Of course I realize those kinds of things up the work and word count considerably and not everyone is up for that. I admire people that can churn out long fics, kudos to them!

Yeah, I definitely prefer fics that have actual plot and not just relationships as well. I mean, that's fine for a cutesy oneshot, but if it's supposed to be an actual story I want some actual plot with it. But yeah, I'm not one who actually manages to write long fics either. I'm all oneshots and poems, you've seen my profile :D
Some people are crazy productive at them, too, churning out chapters so fast...

My longest fic was about 8k I think, one of the DBZ ones c':
some people have like set update days and that just gives me such second place anxiety like wow you people actually get all consistent, and manage to write something every week?? I took months cause I'd get the writing bug for one day or two and then it skittered away for a week haha

Yeah, I could never commit to updating something that regularly... I'm really creative sometimes, but I also have times with no inspiration or motivation to write at all.
