Oh, that's awful!
And not helpful at all, why are they stonewalling you instead of asking the bullies to lay off?!

Now they're getting all defensive back to me as if I'm asking them to do something crazy. Eventually they claimed that they had deleted the original FB post but it's still up there. Then they reckon it won't fully disappear if you've already seen it... like, riiiiiight. Because I wasn't a social media manager before this, and I don't know how deleting stuff on Facebook works. Okay then.

Facebook is not very helpful
I know a page that got stolen, and they essentially told the original owner "tough shit"
41/54 getting close

I'm just glad I never got FB, nor got into all that social media thing. All I have is Twitter and even that is not under my real name or anything, plus I rarely go there anyway... I've seen only bad things surrounding social media in general. Pretty much something new every week. I ever have kids, no social media for them while they are still kids, lol... Honestly, no unsupervised internet while they're kids... And no smart phones with the internet if I can help it. Man, my kids are gonna hate me, lol. I can just see it already.

Give them flip phones, and disable the ability to text
Or let them have only so many minutes for each month and once the cap is hit, bye bye texting and calling
So naturally, no internet connected to it, and they can't just text all nillywilly because what if an emergency happens and they need to contact the parents but LE GASP they ran out of minutes?
Plus you can set time restrictions on them, so between x and y times they can't text at all. And calling, especially when they're home, will be easy to overhear, if that can't be restricted as well
They don't like it? Well tough shit, go read a book you've been meaning to read or some other non electronic activity

My favorite phone ever (that I've had) was a flip phone. I was so sad when it stopped working... But yeah, too many parents nowadays either don't care or try to be friends with their kids, instead of parenting them... The results of that are not pretty. I myself got the "don't care" upbringing, while my younger sibling (almost 10 years difference) got the "let's be friends". Two of the extremes. It's a wonder I didn't end up becoming some little devil, but to be fair I had to learn things the hard way so that "helped" teaching me all the big lessons of life whether I liked it or not. Same can't be said about my sibling........ Which is sad, because I still remember that little sweetheart. Cutest and sweetest thing back then...

Speaking of phones, I may be giving in to the dark side here and getting a phone.
Mixed feelings about that...
