*gets to the point they talk about the origin breeds and meat vs dairy goats*
I know they have goat breeds for the coat quality, and dairy quality, and meat quality. Do you think that, a couple hundred years back before we had paper mills, they had goat breeds for the quality of their skin, to make parchment of?
What an odd thought....
but I wonder if some of the very old books are on parchment from breeds of cattle or goats or sheep that are extinct now, because no one needs parchment....

I'm not positive, but I think I remember reading somewhere that Harvard University has a book made of human skin. So I guess it's possible.

I just realized that "take out" means food, dating, and murder. And if you were a female praying mantis you'd have all three.

lol That's so mean.
My body hurts. I think I slept wrong. Or napped wrong. Whatever. I took a nap because I was up taking care of my mom while my dad got some much needed sleep. And My daughter decided to join me in my small bed and use me to lean against.

Cute, and good memories, but sometimes not the best for actual restful sleep.....
I've got a lot of makeshift beds up around my house right now too. I hope nobody here sleeps wrong on them.

Actually, American Nubian goats have pretty similar shapes. So do Boer goats. **grew up with milk goats** No. They never had goat breeds for parchment. There were enough young sheep being slaughtered to give the fine skins needed for that.

Lop ears in goats seems to go with the roman nose. And for Boer goats, which are a meat breed, the males can have some of the dewlap that these Pakistani goats have.
Try finding a picture if gir calves. Talk about ears.
