Wow, congrats on the meal prep February!
I agree with mem, that is a success no matter what you're wearing :)

We never manage to do that either. We always think that would be really useful, but it's not so easy to come up with things that can be prepared and that my bf will eat.

We used to meal prep (or at least 2 days ahead, but still), then we lived with bf's step-dad for a while and whenever we'd cook he would criticise us for the tiniest things, and besides he was annoyed in case he was cooking and we were looking for some snacks and so we just never entered kitchen unless he wasn't home or it was absolutely necessary. Thus we lost the meal prepping habit and I'm afraid it will take a long way to restore that habit ;/

For us it's hard to come up with anything, really XD

Ah, that's really unfortunate, losing a good habit because of outer circumstances like that. But if you've managed to do it in the past, I'm sure you can get back into it again. You still have all the experience of what worked and didn't work for you back when you did it to help you!

Yeah, we're also terrible at comig up with food ideas. We're standing in the supermarket with no idea what we want to eat and what to buy way too often. It takes so much more time that way, it's really ridiculous, but having a plan beforehand is somehow hard for us...

We changed our diet a bit since then, so maybe that's why it feels so different.
Yeah, it somehow seems easier to come up with anything when you're already hungry and not just trying to think what you perhaps might want to eat this week XD Our problem is we usually just buy the same things and Ash tries out the same recipes to just perfect them. Maybe it's just too stagnate and we only need to come up with something new to unblock?
Haha, the supermarket talk...
Ash: what would you like for dinner?
Me: Idk, we should start meal prepping...
Ash: Ah, that's right. We could make this and that....
Me: *opens mouth*
Ash: Oh, let's buy the *insert premade dish* 8D
Me: *facepalm* okay...

So at best we come up with 2 dishes and then we just improvise at best :qsweat: Not to mention I don't really eat any lunches or dinners... I eat cereal in the morning, then sandwiches all day because I'm too lazy to cook something for myself only and bf comes home after lunch at work. Although he eats a ton and he can be hungry after work still, so if I'm lucky we'll cook something for the both of us XD
I just hate cooking alone and for one person :mcgloom:

*bathes in confetti rain* :mccute:

The productivity is all him. He's also the cook, but I help prep/stir/clean with him. But he's the one that's like "Okay, we'll do the spaghetti now, then the chicken alfredo, and the tikka tomorrow." and I just kind of go with it xD

We definitely have been putting it off for weeks though *tugs collar* we're not as organised as this usually. Not to mention that sharing the kitchen with my parents (whom we live with) is rough >_>
It's usually cluttered, and maybe not dirty per se, but certainly not clean enough to prepare food, due to the stuff they've left out on the side when making food, or the pans they've used and ditched. Or even just leaving food out on the side and letting it go off, like dairy. Parents. :mcargh:

@Chrizine: We did this load of food shopping online, so there was definitely a lot less time pressure to think about what meals we wanted, and we were able to reference recipes when needed. Supermarkets are overwhelming D:

None of this meal prep is for our evening meals, as it's all frozen dishes that I can microwave for work lunches haha. It was costing us too much to buy food out in town each day. We eat crap when we aren't planning a specific recipe. We had oven pizza today >_> If we don't go out of our way to buy things specifically for a desired meal, we just won't make anything that can't be made quickly, like pasta.
We are unhealthy :mcsquee:

Lol, sometimes Ash just randomly states we need to clean the room and I'm shocked XD Maybe I should start just look for something I'd want to try and ask him we cook it together  #yeahright

About shopping online, did you also order vegetables and fruits or did you not want to risk it? I sometimes wonder if maybe having the market deliver to us would be a bad choice, but we mostly buy vegetables and fruits so that's why I'm hesitating.

Lool, that sounds familiar XD If we're dead hungry and too lazy to cook anything or there's just no food, we order or go out for take out XD (like today, lol)

Now that sounds familiar to me :D
Also happens more often than I like when we have planned to cook something but the bf decides that he's not in the mood for eating what we planned -.-

I guess I fall into a different category than you guys xD

I never buy take away food actually. And very rarely do I order things. Maybe 7 times a year. And only when I am hanging out with other people who are craving for pizza for example. But usually I hang out with people who like cooking together, which I also prefer.

I like cooking, trying new things, also ameliorating previous dishes (like Ash xD) and I do not mind cooking for one person only. Usually I cook for two days.

I am bad with preparing meals for uni or work though. I usually end up going to the cafeteria at uni and I prepare a salad for work. The salad is healthy, cafeteria usually, too, but once a week is fine anyway, it is not too expensive. And I hang out with a friend I do not see otherwise.

Ugh yeah don't know about my sleeping problem. Today friends gave me some calm down medicine thingy (all herbal), I hope I can sleep now. I took the pill about 30 minutes ago and I already feel tired.
Going to try to work out right before going to sleep tomorrow.

If I was living on my own I would probably order food way less as well. I can be very happy with just eating some pasta with pesto or some rice with butter and salt or soy sauce when I didn't get around to do much grocery shopping or am not in the mood to cook something more complicated. But my bf is way more picky with food...
I also would probably have an easier time coming up with foods if I was just cooking for myself, because needing to match two people's tastes is just more complicated. When I was still living alone, I'd just make some interesting pasta sauce with whatever vegetables looked nice in the store if I had no better ideas. Can almost never do that know, my bf is not as fond of pasta as I am...
