14 ish years ago.. one of my plushies decided to step in a plate of spaghetti (my ex boyfriend dropped it on a plate of spaghetti)
No one wanted to wash it, scared it might ruin the plushie.
the stain was on the right leg... but through out the 14 ish years.. even though she was safe on a shelf ever since.. more stains started to appear OAO
Well.. over the weekend i got tired of seeing those stains..
So I took white vinegar and warm water.. at first just a little... and some baking soda and cotton balls and a tooth brush. I rubbed and scrubbed at the stains and they came off.. the big one came off a bit but the fur there was darkened.
After the plushie dried.. i noticed the spots I cleaned were a lighter color than the rest of her.. so this time i got a bowel that could fit my plushie... water and vinegar.. baking soda.. and gave her a good rub down..
the fur mane around her neck had turned a grey color over the years. the bright yellow of her body was a dark yellow...
after her bath.. she looked brand new. even the darkened spot on her leg lightened up more, barely noticeable unless you look close enough! The dark fur body was back to a brighter yellow (cigarette smoke stains begone!) and her mane wasn't gray anymore! ovo
