I hate that the original dub didn't have all the episodes.. even in the first few seasons, episodes were cut out.. x-x they never released the fifth and final season in america.. ono poor sailor stars...

the re-dub of the 1992 anime, I don't like how they're mimicing the original voice actors instead of trying to bring the characters to life in their own way. It sounds forced and fake .. but at least now we get all 5 seasons, all 200 episodes.

My dvd set is what was released in Malaysia. all 200 episodes, mix of sub only and dual audios. I want the re-dub on bluray.. even though I hate the new english dubs, I am a sailor moon fan xD

The 1990's. Back then anime was butchered. Episodes cut out for this reason or that. Lesbians turned into cousins because a show meant for teens had to be dumbed down to a show for little kids.

Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew (Mew Mew Power), Card Captor Sakura..

They cut episodes, mixed them around, changed relationships to make them 'acceptable', changed character genders if they could.

Fisheye from Sailor Moon, is a guy, Zoicite is a guy, I think a few more males in Sailor Moon were turned into females for the english dub to make it more 'acceptable'

Sakura's one classmate was in love with their teacher, but because she's just an elementary student, that's all cut out because its something 'bad'

Half of Tokyo Mew Mew was cut out.. once I learned that I never watched the english dub.. so I don't know the other changes they made.

4Kids was NOTORIOUS for this! OAO One Piece! Cigarettes were turned into Lolipops! (thats the only thing i can remember, I never watched the 4Kids version of One Piece after I saw a smoking lolipop)

Sooo happy the anime companies no longer do this crap.. well most of them anyway.
