Wow, I've never heard of that... Creepy. Reminds me of the Game of Thrones bedding ceremony.

Mind you, I'm not sure about the nuns and chores thing, seeing as many nunneries were completely separate establishments to the monasteries. For obvious reasons :mcsmirk:

Pervy priest :mcomg:
Yes, I did hear something like that, I think it would make sense, if that is the point of having queen to uphold the genetic line of royals.
Queens are kick ass though! XD

(I think we're mixing things up too much here, cultures depend on countries, I think it would be too much of a generalisation to say 'priests did this', or 'royals were like that')

There are some queens who just outright refused... Especially if they were the ones in power. Queen Elizabeth I famously built up the cult of the virgin queen and died childless (though you could easily doubt whether or not she was actually a virgin :mcheh: ).

What did I miss? :o (doesn't know what Vin and Jess noticed) But yeah, that would all depend on the culture what is normally done. And from what I know from the nuns at our church when I was a kid they taught all the classes and they did almost all the cooking and cleaning, I never saw one of the boys training to be priests doing it.

We're in England so we don't see many nuns. The Christian part of it is very much protestant.

I think you will notice :D
