thank you, rockinsia. as someone that suffers from anxiety, i would say stick within your comfort bubble. soon that bubble will grow to include more and more people and you might even one day not need to feel that desire for your mother, your security blanket. but you have to take it slow and work at it for yourself. you shouldn't have to be shamed for wanting to have her near you especially since it's the first outing like this. it took me nearly half my life to get to the point i'm at, so there's no telling how long this will be for you. just stay strong and believe in yourself

I think how you phrased it was perfect Sia. I also think I know what game she's talking about, Magic the gathering. One of my YIM friends plays it, that game is more expensive to play from how I've understood it(i could probably get a better idea of the costs of it from him later) then it seems worth playing to me. I do think though that all of your communications with this person were very well done, and honestly I probably would have snapped after that judging comment.

lol, that was only because my stat I use for swimming as pathetic and I didn't have a 'swim' skill, so that's why. x'D
@Sia
I say congrats on you for stating that so nicely, and I can completely understand not wanting to go through all those cards. I play Magic myself, and most the cards I get is basically payment from my friend for giving him rides. XD That guy should have put simple decks together ahead of time, then worked on teaching everyone how to play and how to build a deck. Not understanding the game before making a deck is bad. One example is this one kid took a bunch of cards, over half of them he couldn't use with only two mana, and then only had two sources of mana.
Note this kid also stole cards from a friend of ours as well and told us he did it when said friend wasn't there, so the other friend traded some pretty common cards to get like the entire stack back and some of the kids own good cards because the kid didn't know anything about the game and only bought it because those two friends had mentioned it at school or something and had stolen from our friend. We were nice enough to invite him to our roleplaying group, then he does that. Let's just say we basically told him we're noting holding our game nights, and that's not the only reason either. He kept trying to tell the GM what to do and that he wanted this or that to happen whether the GM wanted it or not. He almost got himself killed because he wanted to 'train his puppy,' which the GM never said was a puppy, to hunt on an island we washed ashore on after our ship got wrecked in a storm. :/ So yeah...

Thank you guys, it means a lot that you think so.
And it's okay by me if you bring drama to the group, I kind of do similarly when I talk about my problems.
